Change is Good.

We've made our move to Cedar. . .
It's freezing! But we're finally getting used to it. Sometimes it's nice, cause it makes us stay inside and spend time together. 2008 was an interesting year. Probably the best and worst of our lives. .. but we wouldn't trade it for anything. We've all grown so much. We recognize the Lords hand in everything, and he has given us strength to do things we never thought we could do. It's been really fun to be so close to family. Andie is loving having her aunt Stephanie and Grandma near by to give her so much attention. We love going to support our cousin's in their activities. WE had a white Christmas. It was fun for a change. My kids were excited. I am a long winded person so my daughter is going to just make me stop now.... to save you all the time. Okay.. get back to you soon.

What good friends : )

The kids' also have great friends. Melissa, Rachel, and Ben all planned a going away party for them. It was so cute. the made a little video with fun pictures, and their favorite songs. They had food for everyone, and a lot of their friends came to say goodbye.
Alex and Kole are starting school on Thursday at Cedar High. They aren't excited, but they are being good sports about everything. we appreciate all the love and support from our family, and hope that this next few years will be enjoyable!

Saying Goodbye.

Leaving St. George makes me so sad. We knew so many great people! Saying goodbye was hard. I cried more than usual. Our neighbors are all so sweet, they all came over, and helped us get things ready to go. I couldn't have done it without them.
Getting released was also hard! The girls in our ward are so sweet. They all planned a going away activity for me. I was clueless of course. It was so much fun! I'm going to miss all of them, as well as the leaders I served with.
You should see our house right now. It's soo clean. hopefully it'll sell soon. We're crossing our fingers. We want Erik up here with us! We miss him!

Alexis Mikalyn

Alex is 16 going on 25 and will be a junior at Cedar High. She's always been very mature for her age. she has a job that she loves a twentfive main (cafe and cake parlor). cute little place. She drives her little saturn (Pat) to work everyday, and claims she can get there in eight minutes, on good days. She is one of their original employees, and they love her there. She's such a hard worker. Her boss said that he wasn't my friend, because i'm taking her away from there. . . And, because of her good friends on the high council, that she met at girls camp, they hooked her up with a job at Pizza Factory in cedar. They go on and on and on about what an amazing girl she is, and they're right. This past year at school Alex was picked to be the yearbook editor for the 08-09 yearbook at Snow Canyon, and she is very sad to be leaving that position. She got to go to yearbook camp though, and show her creativity. Shock! Their book won. She's awesome. It's eco-friendly just like her, she's our little liberal-treehugger! Speaking of. . . she's so sad that Cedar High doesn't have a ferensics team. She loved it, and was great at it too. . . but knowing her and her ambitious little soul, she'll probably put one together. Knowing that she has to move has been hard, but she's been so strong, and has been working really hard to hold up her end that she insists on contributing. We're really proud of her. She's a great daughter and sister. She has such a strong testimony, and always wants to do what's right. She's going to miss all of the amazing seminary teachers here. They loved her, and will miss her too. Alex will miss her room. She free-handed a trendy little tree with some fat birds on her wall. it's so cute, and she's always filling her window panes with positive quotes, which she always tries to live by. What would we do without her?

Kole Erik

Kolie, (as his little sister Andie calls him) is 14 years old, and is going to be a freshman this year. He's very excited to be involved in the high school scene. Kole's interests are girls, sports, girls, girls, girls, and sports. at the moment he is focusing on football. He has been practicing every morning at 5:30 a.m., with Snow Canyon, but will be staring practices up in Cedar August 4th. The past few months, he's been involved with the Little Caesars baseball team. He played with a wooden bat for the first time. He was pretty excited, because our neighbor Jeff, hooked him up with some really sweet bats, from the Road Runners baseball team. Too bad he broke the best one, at his first up-at-bat. haha, he would have had a few home runs that tournament if he would have been playing with a metal bat! He's an awesome athlete. Kole, loves playing basketball with his buddies, he played on an all-star team in Vegas, with some varsity players. He loved learning from coach "D", and he's going to miss playing for them. Moving to a new school for Kole, hopefully will be a great opportunity to show people what a neat kid he is! People up in Cedar have heard the rumors that he's coming, and he's been asked to play on their summer games basketball team, and their legion baseball team. . . and the football coaches have all let us know how excited they are to have him come. When he's not playing sports, he's spending time with his friends. he's going to miss them a lot. but, we know he'll make new ones in a heartbeat. Actually. . . he already has! He also went to Havisupi this past week for scout camp. He loved it! He has amazing leaders, and he's really going to miss them. He also had a trip of a lifetime at the first of summer. He worked really hard to pay for his trip, but the result was well worth it. He went on a history tour of, Boston, Washington D.C., Philly, and New York. He met some senior girls, who he hangs out with often. . . he likes to let everyone know that he has "senior" friends. haha.

Andrusyn Mikahl Halladay

Andie is the youngest of three. She's five years old going on 16. She keeps us busy. Right now she's involved in swimming lessons, which she is thoroughly enjoying. She plays the piano, and loves to compose her own music. She loves writing and she's quite the artist. Andie's going into kindergarten this coming year. She's sad to not be in Ms. Debbie's preschool class anymore, but she's SO excited to be a kindergartner. we love our
